1 Injured In Naugatuck Condominium Fire: FD

NAUGATUCK, CT — One person was injured in a condominium fire early Friday morning in Naugatuck, according to the Naugatuck Fire Department.

In a news release, fire officials said a fire was reported around 2:30 a.m. in a condo on Ridge Road.

Police arrived in the area and reported fire was visible from the second floor windows of the building, which has six condo units, fire officials said.

Crews quickly brought the fire under control, officials said.

Two units were damaged by fire and water, and one occupant sustained a minor burn injury, according to fire officials.

The American Red Cross is assisting displaced residents and the fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze, officials said.

Middlebury and Prospect fire departments provided assistance during the fire and the Beacon Hose Company provided station coverage, officials said.
