WATERBURY, CT — Four city residents are facing charges after a large fight over the weekend involving bats and sticks, police said.
Sgt. Joseph Morais said the fight happened Sunday around 4:54 p.m. in the area of 649 East Main St.
Several people were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor, non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the fight. Police did not release how many people were hurt.
No one was seriously injured, according to Morais.
Four people, all from Waterbury, were arrested.
Ariel Batista-Batista, 35, is charged with second-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace. He posted bond and is due in court on Sept. 10.
Luis Aguilar-Tituana, 26, faces two counts of third-degree assault and one count of second-degree breach of peace. Diego Alvaran, 32, and Alexander Quimbiamba-Albaran, 30, were both charged with second-degree breach of peace. All three appeared in Superior Court in Waterbury Monday morning.
