Naugatuck deputy police chief charged with strangulation in Thomaston, records show (ctpost.com) — Naugatuck residents should know that Deputy Police Chief Daniel Norck has been placed on administrative leave after an off-duty arrest in Thomaston on assault and third-degree strangulation charges. The department, which highlighted his long local career and training roles, says it is committed to transparency with the Naugatuck community while Thomaston police handle the investigation.

Week 2 Connecticut high school football top performers (Sept. 21) (thehour.com) — Naugatuck football fans can celebrate standout performances by Greyhounds Brandon Andoh and Qwentarvous Lee, who combined for huge rushing totals in a 51-35 win over Notre Dame–West Haven. Their efforts are featured among Week 2's top high school football performances from across Connecticut.
