Emergency crews broke a window to reach him, and he now faces charges including reckless driving in a school zone and risk of injury to a child, with state child welfare officials also notified.

Dead Puppy, Fake Sex Ad: Naugatuck Woman Accused Of Targeting Animal Control Officer (dailyvoice.com) — Naugatuck police say a local woman faces multiple charges after a sick puppy in her care was euthanized and 16 dogs were seized from her condemned Celentano Drive home, now under Naugatuck Animal Control's care. She's also accused of posting a fake sex ad targeting the investigating animal control officer, and remains jailed on a total of $110,000 bond across three cases.
   

5. Yankees Birthday of the Day: Spec Shea (pinstripealley.com) — A Naugatuck-born pitcher, Francis "Spec" Shea, rose from starring at Naugatuck High School to winning World Series games for the New York Yankees in the late 1940s. After his playing days, he returned home to serve as Naugatuck's parks and recreation director and even helped coach Robert Redford's pitching form for the film "The Natural."
