Auditions Announced for 'Fifth of July' by Town Players of Newtown

Town Players of Newtown will hold auditions for Lanford Wilson’s

Fifth Of July

Auditions will be Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10 from 7-9 pm. Maureen Trotto of Monroe will direct.

In this bittersweet family drama, disabled Vietnam veteran Ken Talley struggles to find meaning in life as he considers selling his family farmhouse. Meanwhile, old friends and family descend upon the farm for a vacation and while there, they try to outbid each other for the property.

The production calls for four men and four women. Actors should read the play in advance and be ready to read sides from the script. No appointment is necessary. All roles are available.

Rehearsals begin the week of March 16, and the production will run Friday and Saturday evenings, April 24-May 16, with two Sunday matinees.

Auditions will be held at The Little Theatre, 18 Orchard Hill Road in Newtown.
