Baby Hit In Head With Door Knob During Altercation: Naugatuck PD

An arrest was made and the accused is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond, police say.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” A baby was hit in the head with a doorknob during an altercation that occurred inside a home, Naugatuck Police say. On April 16 at 10:33 p.m. police responded to a domestic dispute.

Police say Juel E. Lewis, 23, of Osborn Road, became involved in an argument with the victim that escalated and became physical when, according to the victim, the accused threw items at the victim, police said. The accused also "caused a door knob to hit a baby in the head" during the altercation, police said.

The accused was arrested and held on a $5,000 bond. He is charged with disorderly conduct, sixth-degree larceny, second-degree reckless endangerment, and risk of injury to a child.
