Bear Sightings On The Rise In Naugatuck: Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — As the weather warms up in Connecticut, bear sightings are on the rise in Naugatuck, according to police.

In a Facebook post Tuesday, police said there has been a recent rise in bear sightings around town, specifically in the areas of Fawn Meadow Drive, Maple Hill Road and Rough Wing Road.

In light of these recent sightings, police advise residents to keep a close watch on their children and pets.

Residents are also encouraged to report any bear sightings to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection through their website.
