Bear Spotted Snacking On Deer In Naugatuck: Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police urge residents in the Windview Drive area to be cautious following a recent bear sighting.

In a Facebook post Tuesday night, police said the bear was recently spotted in the area snacking on a deer.

While police noted the incident was simply part of the "circle of life," they also asked residents in the area to use caution when outside and when letting pets outside in light of the sighting.

Bears and other wildlife sightings can be reported to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection here, according to police.
