BEACON FALLS, CT - The Spongebob Musical comes to Woodland High School playing May 5th and 6th.
The show is a musical adaptation of Nickelodeon’s long-running animated sitcom, “SpongeBob Squarepants.” The plot centers around the discovery that a giant volcano (Mt. Humongous) threatens to destroy Bikini Bottom within a mere 48 hours. Spongebob, with help from his fellow heroes, Patrick Starfish, and Sandy Cheeks, sets out to prove that more than just a “simple sponge,” in an effort to save his beloved home.

“This is probably Woodland’s biggest show to date,” said Tom Simonetti, Director of Woodland’s Drama Club. “There is a large cast and setting, and the show features music from various artists like Cyndi Lauper, Panic at the Disco!, Sara Bareilles and Aerosmith. The whole team needs to work together to have the best performance ever.”
Spongebob Squarepants will be played by Claire Cummings, a junior who has performed in four Woodland productions.
