Body Discovered In Naugatuck River; Police Investigating
The dead person was discovered Tuesday afternoon, according to Naugatuck police.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck police detectives are investigating after a body was discovered in the Naugatuck River Tuesday afternoon near Platts Mill Road and Radnor Avenue, police officials said.
Authorities received calls about the body at about 3:40 p.m., and after located it, police quickly determined the person was dead.
"The scene was processed by Naugatuck Police Detectives with assistance from [the Connecticut State Police] Central District Major Crime Squad," Naugatuck police officials said. "Additional
support was provided by Beacon Falls Fire Department Water Rescue team. The investigation into this incident is ongoing at this time."
