Boy Scout Completes His Eagle Scout Project at Hidden Acres
Zach Hunnel of Troop 138 in Naugatuck completed his Eagle Scout project in May at Hidden Acres Therapeutic Riding Center.

Naugatuck, CT - Hidden Acres Therapeutic Riding Center in Naugatuck benefited from the Eagle Scout project of a local Boy Scout.

Zach Hummel, a member of BSA Troop 138 in Naugatuck, completed his required Eagle Scout project in May during the Memorial Day weekend. The project that Mr. Hummel led was to build four planter boxes and two benches for the respected therapeutic riding center; the Boy Scout also made a donation of over $500 to the center.

Hidden Acres posted their gratitude on the center's Facebook page: "We are so thankful to Naugatuck Boy scout Troop 138 for completing our sensory garden this Memorial Day weekend.
One of their Eagle Scouts dedicated time fundraising, designing, and building these beds for the farm. Thank you so much!!"
