As we started planning for America's 250th anniversary, one thing we kept coming back to was community.
We know that not everyone travels for the Fourth of July. Some people are looking for something to do between family gatherings, some are waiting for the fireworks later in the day, and some just want a reason to get out of the house and be around others.
So, if that sounds like you, we would love to welcome you to our America 250 Independence Day Picnic on Saturday, July 4, from 12 to 4 PM on the Tuttle House lawn.
Bring your picnic lunch, a blanket or lawn chair, and spend a few hours enjoying music, lawn games, face painting, museum exhibits, and good company. The museum will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM to explore our America 250 exhibits, and the picnic will lead right into the Town's Fourth of July festivities later that afternoon.
Whether you stay for an hour or spend the whole afternoon with us, we hope you will stop by and celebrate right here in Naugatuck.
Happy 250th, America.
