CAMELBACK RESORT CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY ON THE SLOPES ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 27

Greater Pocono Mountain Community Invited to the Family and Friends Festivities

Camelback Resort, renowned as one of the nation's premier ski destinations, proudly invites Pocono Mountain guests to enjoy the celebration of its 60th ski season anniversary on Saturday, January 27, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Thirsty Camel Bar & Grille.

Festivities are open to the public and include the resort’s DJ spinning tunes, a fantastic ice sculpture, fun activities for the kids such as crafting wooden snowflakes to paint (while supplies last), and there will be Camelback 60th Anniversary swag. A special L.E.D screen is a great photo op showcasing fun, vintage Camelback ski videos.

  • Just in time for all the anniversary fun, Camelback has proudly introduced an artistic marvel in Thirsty Camel Lounge – a striking colorful, customized 60 x 8-foot mural crafted by Pennsylvania artist Evan Hughes. The mural is bold, surreal and cartoon-like. It adorns the walls of the Lounge – whimsically illustrating the many day- and night-time adventures featured at Camelback.
  • Also new this year is Amazon's Just Walk Out Technology. Camelback is the first ski resort in the U.S. to introduce this cutting-edge innovation. It’s a seamless shopping experience at Big Pocono On The Go, which allows visitors to enjoy a hassle-free shopping spree, simply by scanning the resort app, grabbing desired items and departing – eliminating the need for checkout queues or wasted time.
  • For the new year, anniversary celebrants are encouraged to try newly expanded onsite culinary delights, including Chuck’s Spud Shack serving all things French fries including Tex-Mex Loaded Fries and Philly Cheesesteak Fries; Rakuda Ramen; and Rise & Grind Coffee by La Colombe. Thirsty Camel Bar & Grille and food trucks like Tacos & Beer will also be serving up quick bites and refreshing beverages for purchase.
