CAMELBACK RESORT HONORED FOR VIDEO PRODUCTION AT ANNUAL INDUSTRY TRADE SHOW
TANNERSVILLE, Penn. – Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark, the award-winning family summer play destination at Camelback Resort in the Pocono Mountains, made a splash at the World Waterpark Association’s (WWA) Annual Symposium and Trade show – held October 24 to 27, 2023, in New Orleans, La., earning WWA’s Wave Review Award for best commercial.
With 12 entry categories – from billboards to email campaigns – the Wave Review Awards are given out each year at WWA’s annual trade show to honor excellence and creativity in marketing and advertising in support of a water leisure attraction. Entries are judged by marketing and advertising professionals working outside the industry.
According to the resort’s vice president of marketing, Terri Lutz, Camelback’s award-winning commercial was a video production spotlighting the action-packed allure of the resort’s Camelbeach, a family-centric attraction celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
“Masterminded by our partners at Aumen Film Co, the video was produced for use during our anniversary season. A huge success, it was seen across various streaming platforms and to date has nearly 11.5 million impressions,” Lutz said. “We are thrilled it has been recognized by this important industry association, a non-profit international entity, which serves waterparks, aquatic venues and spray parks of all shapes and sizes.”
With 38 exhilarating rides and slides, Camelbeach is Pennsylvania’s largest waterpark and introduced its newest attraction this year – Rival Racer – where sliders race each other through twists and turns on enclosed tracks. The popular waterpark further motivates guests to take the plunge with its wavepool, FlowRider, Vortex, Spin Cycle and more.
Attracting over two million outdoor enthusiasts annually, Camelback Resort is also renowned for its Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, voted USA Today’s #1 Indoor Waterpark in 2022, with North America’s largest Texlon transparent roof and 14 exciting and innovative water slides – tube slides, body slides, mat, bowl and aqua launch slides as well as kiddie slides for the youngest thrill seekers and more.
