CAMELBACK RESORT LAUDED AT HSMAI AWARDS
Hospitality Industry Awards Presented at Annual Celebration in New York City

TANNERSVILLE, Penn. – Earning recognition in the digital marketing category, Camelback Resort – a top year-round recreational destination nestled in the Pocono Mountains – was lauded with two 2023 Adrian Awards by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) at the organization’s 67th annual awards celebration on February 13 at the New York Marriott Marquis.

Each year, the HSMAI awards recognize exceptional sales, marketing, revenue optimization and distribution leaders in hospitality, travel and tourism organizations for their achievements during the preceding 18 months. This year’s theme, WanderLOVE, highlighted the stories of “remarkable ads, campaigns and experiences that sparked a love for travel, igniting a desire for exploration among travelers worldwide.”

According to Managing Director David Makarsky, Camelback was honored with a Silver President’s Adrian Award for a video campaign and a Bronze Adrian Award for a social media campaign both commemorating “60 years of Camelback”– a digital homage to the resort’s six decades as a top Pocono Mountain ski resort and evolution into a multi-experiential indoor/outdoor playground known for its exhilarating outdoor and indoor activities – from water adventures at Camelbeach Mountain Water Park to hiking, ziplining, bungee jumping, tubing, skiing, snowboarding and arcade games.

“Camelback's marketing team unearthed numerous historical documents from old photo albums to long-forgotten VHS tapes to create an engaging campaign bridging past and present,” Makarsky said. “The end result pays tribute to our enduring legacy, while showcasing the modern-day amenities that have transformed Camelback into the popular getaway it is today.”

The Camelback team’s hard work paid off, Makarsky said. “Out of over 800 entries submitted this year, our work was judged to be exceptional by experts in hospitality, travel, tourism and media. We are thrilled to receive these coveted awards and are grateful to everyone involved.”
