CAMELBEACH OUTDOOR WATERPARK CELEBRATES 25th ANNIVERSARY WITH GRAND OPENING WEEKEND AND INTRODUCES NEW ATTRACTION – RIVAL RACER SLIDE

Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark launches its 25th anniversary season with an amazing line-up of activities, adventures, attractions, chills and thrills, starting on Friday, June 16, and continuing all Father’s Day weekend – and the fun and excitement continue throughout the summer. There are 37 fantastic wet and wild mountainside waterpark slides and rides!


The ribbon cutting starts at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 16 and will include brief remarks from David Makarsky, managing director for Camelback Resort.

Camelbeach Grand Opening weekend events include:

  • Opening of the NEW Rival Racer waterslide, where sliders race each other through twists and turns on enclosed tracks to compete to the bottom of a slide converging at three different rallying points and at the finish line.
  • Live entertainment, scavenger hunts and appearances of Camelback Resort’s mascot Chuck the Camel
  • Giveaways from Camelback Resort and Pocono Raceway on opening day
  • Live sand sculpture demos with New Jersey resident John Woodward creating his masterpiece on Saturday, June 17
  • Father’s Day, June 18, FlowRider competition will entertain contestants and onlookers as participants race on this ultimate surf machine.


Camelbeach cabana rentals and VIP seating for total relaxation provide shady, convenient beach home-base pampering throughout the summer.
