Can Virtual Reality Games Generate Money For Naugatuck?

NAUGATUCK, CT — At the Board of Mayor and Burgesses meeting held earlier this month there was an interesting item on the agenda.

According to meeting minutes, Adam Reiser, Director of Business Development for Nucleus Augmented Reality LLC discussed a proposal to enter into an agreement to negotiate advertising for the Borough of Naugatuck on virtual reality games.

He has signed agreements with the towns of Plainville, New London, Ellington, Coventry and Bolton, Connecticut. There is no cost to the borough. After he obtains signed agreements from a majority of towns in Connecticut, he would negotiate with advertisers. Each town would receive the revenue for the advertisements on virtual reality.

Nucleus Augmented Reality LLC will receive a 12 percent commission of all revenue collected through advertising deals negotiated.

VOTED: Unanimously on a motion by Deputy Mayor Taf Jackson and seconded by Burgess Mizeski that the Board of Mayor and Burgesses circulate the proposed agreement with Nucleus Augmented Reality LLC to the burgesses and the borough attorney to review, and add to the agenda for
discussion at the next meeting.
