CT Women Playwrights Festival starts this week!
Get ready to do some serious celebrating of Women in Theater here in Connecticut.
The Connecticut Chapter of the League of Professional Theatre Women is producing a Women Playwrights Festival with performances that start this week. The event tomorrow, March 11, starting at 7pm is taking place at the Centerbrook Meeting House and Ivoryton Playhouse Artistic Director, Jacqui Hubbard, has directed two of the plays. The readings are free but please RSVP so we can know how many people will be attending.
If you enjoy listening to new works by local women writers, you won’t want to miss this exciting program. The CT Women Playwrights Festival will present four one-act plays in three different locations in the state. The plays selected are:

Hollywood and Thine by Kimberly Hill
30 Days by Betsy Maguire
U-Got Credit by Kate McLeod
Jacqueline Hubbard and Carol Ziske are directors. Casting includes Matt Austin, Galen Donovan, Rebecca Elllis, Bailly Morse and Virginia Wolf. Readings will be followed by talk-back sessions where the audience can ask questions and give feedback.
