Child, 10, Drowns In Swimming Pool In CT: Report
Tragically, this is the third time this summer that a child has drowned in a pool in CT.

WATERBURY, CT — Very sad news to share as a 10-year-old child has drowned after being found at the bottom of a pool on Pierpont Road late Saturday in Waterbury, according to media reports including NBC Connecticut.
The girl was attending a birthday party/church picnic involving 30 people and a family member noticed she was missing around 7:30 p.m. A frantic search ensued and the girl was found at the bottom of the 4-foot pool.
It's unclear how long the girl was missing and she could not swim. The name of the girl has not yet been released.

Tragically, this is the third time that a child has drowned in a pool in Connecticut this summer. Earlier this month a two-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool in Bridgeport. In this case, there was a pool party and the adults believed the child was being watched but they soon discovered he was missing.
Then on July 2, a 5-year-old child drowned in a pool in Stratford on Sunnybank Avenue.
