Shakespeare on the Sound is seeking 4 children ages 6-13 to perform in their upcoming staged reading of A Christmas Carol

Open call auditions will be held this coming Friday 11/12 from 4-7pm at The Studio for Performing Arts in New Canaan

The Powerhouse Theatre, New Canaan, CT

REHEARSAL:
Wednesday, December 8th 5:30pm-8pm
*your child MUST be able to attend the rehearsal for the entire time.
**rehearsals will be held at The Studio for Performing Arts,
26 Forest Street, New Canaan, CT

The auditions are an open call, please sign in when you arrive. Children will be seen in order of arrival

Audition sides are available on our website and will also be provided the day of the audition. All children should prepare the monologue (available on the website.) It does not need to be memorized but the child should be quite familiar with it.

Your child may be asked to stay and read a character in one of the scenes as well.

Please bring a headshot, or photograph of your child (can be printed from the computer) and resume if your child has one. You will be asked to fill out a form upon arrival.

SEEKING
PETER CRATCHIT—Male, 11-13 years old. The oldest Cratchit son, he is well spoken and has a good sense of humor. Must be able to be funny and also quite serious.

TOM CRATCHIT—All genders, 8-11 years old. Second oldest Cratchit son. More serious than his brother, loves his family.

BELINDA CRATCHIT—Female, 8-11 years old. Looks after her brother Tiny Tim. Very loving.

TIM CRATCHIT (Tiny Tim)—All genders, 6-9 years old. The youngest Cratchit, he suffers from a debilitating illness. He is upbeat, happy, and loving.

*Please note: The adult roles will be played by professional actors. Therefore we are seeking children who have had prior experience performing in plays or musicals either at school, outside school at a performing arts program, or professionally.
