A message to Andrew Avenue Parents from Principal Ms. LaChance
Good Morning Andrew Avenue Parents,
Yesterday, you received communication that we will begin our distance learning plan on Monday, March 23rd. All students will have the ability to take a Chromebook home so that they will have access to their teachers and support staff during this time. We will have a chrome book hand-out on Friday, March 20th in the drop-off, pick up loop on the side of the building. Your child may have a laptop or tablet at home, but we encourage the use of a school Chromebook due to the pre-loaded apps and program accessibility.
Parents (or family members) will pull up to the Andrew Avenue staff and give your child’s name and teacher. The Chrome book will be handed to you in the car and you will be required to sign it out. We will take all necessary health precautions to maintain social distancing during the distribution, so please stay in your car and bring your own pen. We have also staggered the distribution times.
If your child does not have internet access, please call the school as soon as possible (203)720-5221, and we will make other arrangements for your child so that they can participate in daily lessons. If you are not able to get to the school for the pick-up, please call or email as soon as possible.
Please come pick up at the following times (if you have more than one child, you only need to come once)
Kindergarten - 9:30-11:00 am
Grade 1 - 9:30-11:00am
