Cinnabon Returning To Food Court At Waterbury Mall

WATERBURY, CT — A new Cinnabon and Auntie Anne's Pretzels combination store is set to open next week at the Brass Mill Center, marking a return for the popular baked goods chain to the mall's food court.

Cinnabon will host a grand opening at the mall Tuesday at noon, according to Summit Properties USA, which manages the mall.

Summit Properties USA General Manager Stacey Mendyka confirmed a Cinnabon had previously been located at the mall, and the brand will now return to Brass Mill Center under a new owner and operator in the form of a new dual-brand concept with Auntie Anne's, according to Mendyka.

"Cinnabon was a highly requested addition with no nearby location," Mendyka said in an email to Patch, "and it will soon become a dual-branded concept with Auntie Anne's to meet a strong customer demand for pretzels, further enhancing our offerings."

According to additional press materials provided by the mall, guests are invited to celebrate the beloved bakery brand's comeback Tuesday with giveaways and sweet treats.

"We are thrilled to welcome Cinnabon back to Brass Mill Center," Summit Properties USA COO Denis Nezaj said in a statement sent to Patch. "The brand is a favorite among our patrons and we are excited that the store will also feature Auntie Anne's Pretzels - a new brand for the mall and a delicious addition to our community."

A request for comment from Cinnabon was not immediately returned.

The new Cinnabon will be located on level 2 in the food court, according to the mall's website.

Hours are listed as Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., according to the website.

Brass Mill Center is located at 495 Union Street in Waterbury.
