Re: COVID-19 Code Red Transcript
Good afternoon,
Find out what's happening in Naugatuckfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
Today is May 29 at 6pm, the count in Naugatuck as of today is 365. We have seen a downward trend in our numbers over the past week. We've been averaging about two cases per day, over the past week, we appear to have reached a period of stabilization at the lowest average level of new residential cases that we've seen since the beginning. As a community, we've done well. But we do need to continue to be vigilant. Ultimately, how you deal with the virus is a question of balance, common sense and understanding your limitations. All of us are in different situations. We need to be resilient and adapt to change. We need to be smart; we need to be Naugy smart. At unified command we feel that we've reached a point in the crisis, where we do not have to call you automatically every Friday with a report. We will be calling when we have new information to deliver. I want to remind everyone that Unified Command continues to meet every day. We respond to every issue that is presented to us any questions or concerns, can be directed to us at:
unifiedcommand@naugatuck-ct.gov
A few other reminders, you can call the United Way for help at 203-729-1564; The Ecumenical Food Bank at 203-723-1922, and don't forget our monthly mobile food pantry at the Event Center on June 11. Also please remember to fill out your census. The easiest way to do it is at 2020census.gov, even if you don't have your card with your number on it, you can complete the information there.
Be resilient, Stay Healthy, Stay Naugy Strong, and most of all stay Naugy Smart.
Pete Hess
