Re: COVID-19 Code Red Transcript
Good Afternoon,
Find out what's happening in Naugatuckfor free with the latest updates from Patch.
Today is December 29 at 5:30pm. It’s been almost two-years since our last code red message. A lot of things have changed in the world, but Naugatuck remains strong. Nevertheless, we're still faced with many of the same challenges as most other towns and cities.
We are going ahead with our plan to distribute test kits from the state of Connecticut. Here's what you need to know. On Friday, December 31, at 10am we will implement a distribution of test kits at the Naugatuck Event Center where you can arrive by car on Old Firehouse Road, where you will be directed by the police, the fire police, and the CERT team. There will be two test kits per vehicle. Proof of Naugatuck residency is required.

We do recognize that it's inherently unfair when we receive only 3,960 kits for 32,000 residents. We're going to do everything we can to try and get kits to those who deserve them.
If you have a problem, you can't make it or you have a hardship or something of that nature, please email us at CERT@Naugatuck-CT.gov. We're going to do everything we can in our power to try and get you kits.
Also, if you have questions in general, always feel free to email UnifiedCommand@naugatuck-ct.gov. Our team remains in place and we're back at full speed with the Omicron variant. On a personal note, Happy New Year and remain Naugy strong.
Thank you
Pete Hess
Mayor
Borough of Naugatuck
