Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Naugatuck Reaches 74

Good Afternoon,

Today's total number of confirmed cases in Naugatuck is 74. At my last report on April 7, we were at 52. Since then we’ve gone as follows: 52, 54, 66, 67 and 74. These statistics remain in the range that we expected. We are still in the acceleration phase of the virus, numbers will continue to increase for many reasons, including a lag in test results. We know the numbers will continue to rise, but we hope that the increase will begin to decline.

So, what can we learn from these statistics? Well, the biggest takeaway by far is that social distancing is working in Naugatuck. Our statistics rise as expected, but the rate of increase is less than projected. So, what we're going to do because of limitations on the time of this call is we're going to invite your questions by email. Please email your COVID-19 questions to me at:
