Cops Bust Up Illegal After-Hours Bar In Waterbury: Report

The spot attracted dozens of patrons inside and outside.

WATERBURY, CT — While responding to a call about an armed person in a parking lot, authorities in Waterbury shut down an illegal after-hours bar over the weekend on the corner of Framingham Drive and Stillson Road, reported the Republican-American.

More than 100 people were inside and outside the bar early Sunday when police shut it down, at which time officers seized dozens of bottles of alcohol, beer and an illegal video gambling machine.

The owner of the club, Ersiljo Barolli, 33, who angrily argued with police over the shutdown, was arrested and charged with illegal operation of a bottle club, illegal gambling and related violations.
