Couches Dumped At Breen Field In Naugatuck; Infractions Issued

According to Naugatuck police, the incident occurred on July 6.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” Naugatuck police recently issued infraction for littering to two men who were spotted by police dumping busted up couches in the parking lot at Breen Field.

The incident occurred on July 6, when an officer saw a suspicious truck with couches in the back enter the field after hours, and emerge a little while later without them.

After the officer pulled over the truck, "the operator admitted to dumping the couches" at the park. See the Facebook post below.

Issued infractions for littering on public land were Elvin Gonzalez, 24, and Chaz Meade, 36. The two also were ordered to remove the items.

"The Naugatuck Police remain committed to ensuring our community and public spaces remain clean and free of litter and illegal dumping," police said. "We remain committed to working with our community partners who are assisting us in these efforts, and we will take necessary enforcement action against offenders."
