CT Rakes Rock the Naugatuck Green in Concert Series

Naugatuck - Tuesday evening was the place to enjoy the band The CT Rakes on the Naugatuck Green. The Naugatuck Arts Commission sponsors the annual Concert Series on the Naugatuck Town Green. Before noon on the the day of the concert, the band shared on their Facebook page that it was confirmed they would be performing outside in the gazebo on the Green, along with a reminder to "Bring those picnics and good vibes!"

A large crowd gathered on the Green before the band began their performance promptly at 7 p.m. and played without taking a break until 9 p.m.

The talented musicians offered a carefully curated set list of Americana, Blues, Country Rock and a little Hip Hop. My companion and I greatly enjoyed all the music that they performed.

Carol Crean posted her praise on social media. "Loved the band tonight. The concert was amazing! Thank you so much to the Naugatuck Arts Commission."

As always, the Knights of Columbus served up their delicious hot food and the Naugatuck Community Choir had drinks and chips available for purchase. Many came hungry and enjoyed a picnic, while others had dinner at a local establishment. We had a great meal at Brady's Pub and Restaurant on Church Street.

There are two remaining concerts scheduled in the regular series, with the final concert during the Harvest Moon Festival on Sept. 15.
