CT State Holds Student Success Summits
CT State Meets With School Districts to Highlight Programs and Services

CT State held its first of two Student Success Summits on October 7 at Manchester Community College to introduce CT State Community College to superintendents, principals, school counselors, and other educational partners from across the state.
The event drew more than 20 school districts and included information on the CT State application process, Guided Pathways advising, academic programs, financial aid and free community college, campus resources, transfer pathways, workforce development and discussion of the student experience with an alumni panel.
A second summit will be held November 4 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport. School districts interested in attending can sign up to attend at https://www.ct.edu/ctstate/summit or call 203-575-8079.
The consolidation of Connecticut’s 12 community colleges will become official July 1, 2023. Connecticut State Community College began accepting applications for its fall 2023 semester on October 1. Students can access the application at www.ctstate.edu and choose any of the CT State locations across Connecticut. The 12 community colleges will continue to individually enroll students for the winter 2022, spring 2023 and summer 2023 semesters. The application for those terms is available at www.ct.edu/admission.
The Connecticut community college system, which currently serves approximately 60,000 students a year, was ranked No. 1 in the nation by WalletHub in 2022.
