CT Student Collapses During Hockey Practice, Rushed To Hospital: Reports

Life-saving measures had to be performed on a student who had a medical emergency, according to reports.

WATERTOWN, CT — A high school student was hospitalized after they suffered a medical episode Thursday during hockey practice at Taft School in Watertown, according to WTNH News-8.

Life-saving measures, including using a defibrillator, had to be performed on the student, who attends Holy Cross High School and plays hockey for the Watertown High School co-op team.

Police, firefighters, and American Medical Response all responded to the emergency, WFSB 3-TV reported.

The student was taken to Waterbury Hospital, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.
