Decision Made On Classes At Naugatuck Public Schools For Feb. 25

A decision has been reached on classes at Naugatuck Public Schools for Wednesday.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Public Schools will be closed Wednesday as snow continues to fall in Connecticut.

According to the district's Facebook page, all Naugatuck Public Schools will be closed Feb. 25 "due to the current weather conditions."

"The anticipated end time does not provide sufficient opportunity for our teams to fully prepare school grounds and ensure safe conditions across the district," school officials wrote on Facebook.

All school buildings will be closed Wednesday, and all afterschool and evening activities are canceled, according to the district.

"We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we navigate changing weather conditions," the district wrote. "As always, our priority is the safety of our students and staff."

Wednesday marks the third day in a row school has been canceled in Naugatuck following a major winter storm that battered the region for most of Sunday and into Monday afternoon with heavy snow and strong wind gusts.
