Decision Made On Classes At Naugatuck Public Schools For March 3

A winter weather advisory has now been extended to most of Connecticut as snow and ice are forecast.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck Public Schools are closed Tuesday as a mix of snow, ice and rain are all in the forecast for Connecticut.

According to the district's website, schools are closed March 3 due to the winter storm and anticipated travel conditions.

All school buildings will be closed Tuesday, and all after school and evening activities are canceled.

"The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority," the district's website reads. "Please continue to monitor local weather updates and district communications for any additional information."

All kindergarten registration appointments scheduled for Tuesday will now take place March 10 at the same time and location.

"If this new date or time no longer works for your family, please call the school [Wednesday] when we are back in session," the website reads.

A winter weather advisory has been extended to the entire state except for the immediate coast, as snow and sleet are forecast for Tuesday.
