Naugatuck Public Schools Family,
I have never been more proud to be part of the Naugatuck community as we have pulled together to embrace this new challenge. Tomorrow we will officially begin using our technology tools to connect and learn virtually and from a distance. We will continue to focus on relationships as we partner with you to ensure that each and every one of our children and families is engaged in learning. This first week, expect a slow start and a few glitches as we all learn how to do this – we will get better with time! Communicate with your teachers and school support staff when you have questions and please be patient with us and trust that we will do whatever it takes to stay connected with your children.

We are here as partners with you in this time of crisis. While educating your children is always important to us, wellness, and relationships come first. There is no problem we cannot solve together, no questions we do not want to hear, and no need that is beyond the scope of our community.
I am truly looking forward to how this community will take this opportunity to pull together and take care of each and every child in our NPS family!

Have a great evening and have fun learning during these next few weeks. I will stay in communication as we learn more about the evolution and duration of this pandemic closure.
In Partnership,
Superintendent Locke
