Drive-in Theater Plan in Naugatuck Has Support: Report

Newly elected Mayor N. Warren "Pete" Hess supports the idea.

It looks like there is a solid chance that Naugatuck will be the fourth community in Connecticut to have a drive-in theater.

The major question is where will it be located, but newly elected Mayor N. Warren “Pete” Hess supports the idea, the Republican-American reports.

In 2002, Hess and his then partner Bob LaFlamme were rebuffed in their bid to add a 6-screen theater at the former Parcel C site.

Now LaFlamme is planning, by himself this time, to bring a drive-in theater to Naugatuck. Hess said a location needs to be finalized but he supports the idea because it will help address concerns that their isn’t enough to do in Naugatuck.
