Drugs Seized From Suspected Dealer's Underwear In Naugatuck: Cops

Fentanyl and crack cocaine were among the drugs seized.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A 24-year-old Waterbury Man was arrested on multiple narcotics charges this week after a stash of drugs was found in his underwear following a traffic stop, Naugatuck police announced.

Danny Garcia was pulled over by police on Great Hill Road in Naugatuck after he was seen driving erratically, according to police.

K-9 Officer Judge and the dog's handler, Officer Pinho, were called to the scene, and Judge detected that illegal narcotics were in the vehicle in the driver seat area.

"A pat down of the driver [Garcia] indicated multiple concealed items in his underwear area," police wrote on Facebook (see below). The following illegal drugs were found:

  • 212 bags of fentanyl
  • 83 Percocet pills
  • 15 grams crack cocaine
  • $707 in cash
Garcia was taken into custody and charged with the following:
  • Operating a drug factory
  • Possession with intent to sell narcotics
  • Suspended license
  • Illegal tinted windshield
  • Failure to maintain lane

He was released after posting bond on bail of $25,000, and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on Oct. 27.
