DUI Checkpoint Announced In Naugatuck: Police

Police announce a DUI checkpoint that will take place in Naugatuck.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” The Naugatuck Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint next week, officials announced.

The checkpoint will take place from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 into Friday, Sept. 3 on Salem Bridge.

Officials noted that the police department is legally required to make public notice before a sobriety checkpoint because they often β€œget inquiries as to why we publicize prior to the event.”
