DUI Man Performs Donuts, Almost Strikes Car in Naugatuck Plaza: Police

Police said they responded after receiving a call about an erratic driver.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Waterbury man, 20, was allegedly driving under the influence when he was performing donuts at the Mount View Plaza where he almost struck another vehicle, police said.

Police said on July 22 at 6 p.m. officers responded to the Mount View Plaza for an erratic driver complaint.

A caller stated that a man later identified as Geoffrey Green, 20, of Woodtick Road in Waterbury was doing donuts and almost struck his vehicle, police said.

Green's vehicle was located on Jones Road and during an investigation it was determined that the accused drove under the influence of alcohol, police said.

He is charged with operating a motor vehicle by a minor having an elevated blood alcohol content and reckless driving.

He was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
