DUI Naugatuck Man Drove Through Construction Zone: Police
Police say the local man ended up hitting a bucket truck with his vehicle.
NAUGATUCK, CT β A Naugatuck man, Sean Kennedy, 22, of Stanley Street, is accused of driving through a construction zone and ended up hitting a construction vehicle, police said. At 1:37 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident in an active construction zone in the area of Bridge Street by Spring Street.
Officers working the construction zone saw Kennedy drive through orange construction barriers and then collied with a large John Deer bucket truck, police said. Through the officerβs investigation the accused was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, police said.
He is charged with illegally operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond.
