'Dumped Dog' Found Abandoned In Naugatuck Industrial Park: Police

The abandoned dog was found near a plastic crate in the road, and both the dog and the crate were covered in feces, according to police.

NAUGATUCK, CT β€” Police and Naugatuck Animal Control are asking for the public's help identifying the owner of an abandoned dog found over the weekend in the Naugatuck Industrial Park.

In a news release, police said the "dumped dog" was found in the area Saturday near a plastic transport-type crate in the road, which suggested a prolonged period of confinement.

Both the dog and the crate were found covered in feces, according to police.

Anyone who may have seen this act of abandonment or with any information that could aid the investigation is asked to contact Naugatuck Animal Control directly at 203-729-4324.
