Earlene’s A Christmas Carol-Scrooged Again! at Seven Angels
The family favorite runs through Dec. 19. Tickets are $30 for adults and $20 for those 17 years old and under. Adult 4 packs just $99.
WATERBURY - Michelle Gotay has returned to Seven Angels Theatre as her delightful and hilarious alter-ego Earlene Babcock, this time in an all new twist on a holiday favorite, “Earlene’s A Christmas Carol-Scrooged Again!” Performances are live and in person at the Waterbury theatre.
Once again Pottsville USA is getting ready for its annual Christmas Show, but this year, instead of their 51st Annual Variety Show, they’re taking on the Dicken’s Christmas classic, “A Christmas Carol.”
Unfortunately the actor playing Scrooge is stranded in New York City. Will Earlene, the Proprietress at Flapjacks Diner, be able to save the day? Will the show go on? Head to Seven Angels and get in the Holiday Spirit.

Laugh hilariously as Earlene and the good citizens of Pottsville put on “ The Best Dang Dickens Show Ever.”

Earlene herself invited me to come see her at the theatre this holiday season. “I’m tinkling tears of joy to be back at it with the new twist on my show,” she told me.

The character of Earlene, who had her own show on WATR in 2017, is known for her sassy attitude and an often unique turn of phrase. She also bestows wonderful nicknames on those she loves.
“First off, the idea of me playing a “Christmas hater” is funny all by itself, but Chucky Dickie would roll over in his grave to see this wacky version of his classic tale,” she said.
She describes the latest incarnation of an Earlene show “a heapin’ serving of holiday happiness” and it “comes with all the love and laughter you can handle.”
Her personal invitation ended with “So I’m savin’ you a stool, Sassy…I miss your in-person face. Love ya more than my electric razor, Earlene xo”
“Well, dill my pickle…..I still got it!” - Earlene Babcock
This is a great show for the whole family with a huge local cast performing plenty of classic holiday music. Babcock has managed to get the Diner gang back together again. Included in the cast are Justin Torres, Jonathan Zalaski, Phil Maiorano Joe Stofko, John Fabiani, Jeff Savage and WATR general manager Tom “Tommie” Chute and his “show wife” Marcia Maslo. Artistic Director Semina (or as Earlene calls her “Semolina”) De Laurentis directs. T.J. Thompson serves as the musical director of the production and assistant director Jimmy Donohue takes care of the technical aspects.
The Seven Angels’ lobby has been lavishly decorated for the holidays. Doors and the bar open one hour before the show begins.
