Palace Theater in Waterbury will present “I Wrote That! Author Talk: Susan Granger”
Granger is a product of Hollywood, and movies are her family’s business. She published 150 Timeless Movies, a collection of her movie reviews. Sept. 7: 1 pm - 3 pm

On Saturday, the Mattatuck Museum will offer an Intermediate Art Workshop: Comic Strips for ages 9–15.
Learn tips and tricks for how to create a detailed and original narrative comic strip. Each student will create their own story, as well as learn techniques used in some of the most famous comic books ever made.

The Brass City Brew & 'Que, one of the most popular and intimate brew fests in New England returns to Grand Street at Library Park downtown Waterbury on Saturday, September 7. Sample more than 200 brews, spiked seltzers, and vodka sodas.

Discover “reel” nostalgia at the Southington Drive-in. This weekend they will present the film on Saturday, hosted. Gates open at 6 and movies start approximately 30 minutes after sunset. $20 per carload, $5 for walk ins

Bethlehem Fair will run Friday through Sunday at the Bethlehem Fairgrounds on Rt. 61. This is an old-fashioned agricultural fair with livestock, agricultural exhibits, horse show, horse drawing, art and photography show, farm displays, amusement rides, food, and entertainment.

Hebron Harvest Fair runs this weekend at the Hebron Lions Fairgrounds. Children 12 & under are FREE every day.

Wapping Fair runs this weekend at the South Windsor Fairgrounds. The agricultural fair features livestock, rides, bands, magic, food truck festival, exhibits, children's attractions, aerialist performance, exotic animal meet and greet, vendors and more.

The opening weekend at the 26th annual Connecticut Renaissance Faire is themed the Royal Family & Market Weekend. The faire runs 10:30 am to 6 pm Saturdays and Sundays at 122 Mack Road, Lebanon, CT. Tickets at ctfaire.com
