Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Policies Adopted In Naugatuck

The public school system reportedly is going "green" with its cleaning procedures.

NAUGATUCK, CT — An initiative to use environmentally friendly products to clean Naugatuck Public Schools passed unanimously earlier this month, reported My Citizen's News.

The "green" cleaning program adopted by the Naugatuck Board of Education calls for the district to buy green products to clean schools and facilities whenever possible.

Board members modeled Naugatuck's policy after similar legislation at the state level, which calls for the use of cleaning products which have received environmental recognition at the federal level.
