Fiery Car Crash Extinguished By Naugatuck Fire Department
A car struck a utility pole and ended up catching on fire.

NAUGATUCK, CT β Naugatuck police and fire departments responded to a single car collision on Saturday evening.
The accident was reported around 6 p.m. and it occurred on Andrew Mountain Road as a car struck a utility pole. On arrival, the car was on fire, and the occupants were out. No injuries reported.
The collision snapped the pole, dropped wires on it and the road, officials said. Power was temporarily out due to the accident.

"Due to no hydrants in the area, Oxford Center Volunteer Fire Company and Quaker Farms Fire Company called and responded with two tankers," fire officials said.
