I'm Sharvari Bhat, a Creative Producing graduate student in the film program at Columbia University. I am producing a thesis short film at the end of August called Collisions & Damages with a Director, Melanie Rish-Ho, from the same program.

The film is a screwball romantic comedy set on the morning of a small home wedding of a mixed Asian family. The short is a proof of concept for a feature film written by Melanie.

For a few of the scenes, we are looking for 10-12 extras to play extended family members attending a tea ceremony at the bride's house. The scenes will be filmed over 1.5 days on August 29 and 30 (tentatively). The extras do not need to be professional actors and can range from the ages of 25-60. We will be filming at an Airbnb in Litchfield, Connecticut. Production can provide transport, reimburse gas for those who wish to self-report, and will provide meals & snacks on set.

Film Details:
The film will be completed under the SAG Student Film Agreement, exempt from the strike order. This short is a student film and hence non-commercial, made in partial completion of the director and producer's degree requirements. We plan on submitting the film to various film festivals across the country after its completion.
