Fire Extinguished at Tuttle House Building: VIDEO

NAUGATUCK, CT — Church Street was closed near the 300 block around 1 p.m. Wednesday as firefighters fight a blaze at the old Board of Education building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to WFSB.

The Fire Department said on social media, "Great job by the Naugatuck Fire Department at a very difficult fire at the Tuttle House this afternoon. We are pleased to say there were no injuries. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Waterbury Fire Department for responding to the scene to assist us and also to Beacon Hose for covering in at headquarters to protect the rest of the community."
