Fire Damages Popular Naugatuck Food Truck
No injuries were reported, but the Not Just Blowin Smoke food truck suffered extensive damage. A GoFundMe page was launched to help out.
NAUGATUCK, CT — A fire caused more than $100,000 worth of damage to the Not Just Blowin Smoke food truck in Naugatuck last week, and the owners are asking for help through a GoFundMe effort to help cover the cost of a new truck.
No injuries were reported in the Thursday fire, which was caused when one of the barbecue food truck's smokers caught fire, reported My Citizen News. Naugatuck firefighters doused the blaze quickly, but the business is now at a stand still, because there's truck is too far gone.
"Between supply, the truck itself, and other accessories such as a generator and smokers to power the business, there is such extensive damages that the food truck is beyond repair," wrote Gina Farina, whose parents, Michael and Gillian, own the business.
