Fire Prevention Poster Contest Winners Recognized
The Naugatuck Fire Department held its 9th annual contest for fourth and fifth graders.

The winners of the 9th annual Fire Prevention Poster Contest were recognized by the Naugatuck Fire Department on March 12 at the fire department headquarters.
Luke Marshall of the Citizenβs News reports in the Friday, March 20 issue of the newspaper that the winners were selected from the fourth and fifth grade classes in the borough schools and the winners received a bicycle.

The winners included Cross Street Intermediate School fifth grade students Arianna Frattalone and Alexander Felix, St. Francis-St. Hedwig fourth grade student Jodie Saint Paul, Cross Street fifth grade student Vicki Weng, and Maple Hill Elementary School fourth grade students Mireya Trelles and Ayana Williams.
The two first place winners, Miss Weng and Miss Trelles, also won first place in the New Haven County Fire Prevention Contest. The two will go on to the state competition.
