Ghost Gun Recovered, Man Charged With DUI In Naugatuck: Police
A man accused of possessing a "ghost gun" and driving under the influence in Naugatuck was recently arrested, according to police.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A man accused of possessing a "ghost gun" and driving under the influence in Naugatuck was arrested early Saturday morning, according to police.
In a news release, police said an officer stopped a speeding vehicle on South Main Street around 2 a.m.
The driver, Juan Garcia, 22, of New Haven, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failed sobriety tests, according to police.

During the stop, officers also found a firearm with no serial number on it that appeared to be illegally manufactured, police sad.
The firearm was loaded with a high-capacity magazine capable of holding 17 rounds of 9mm ammunition, according to police.

Garcia was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm with no serial number, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under influence of drugs/alcohol, reckless driving, speeding, failure to drive in proper lane, operation of motor vehicle without minimum insurance, operation of unregistered motor vehicle and improper use of registration plates.
He was released after posting a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court next month, according to police.
