Fundraiser Set Up for Christopher Ferry of Naugatuck
Donations will be used for funeral expenses with any remaining funds going towards the immediate needs of his newborn son.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the young man whose body was discovered in a brook in Naugatuck on Sunday.
According to the information on the GoFundMe account, Christopher Ferry was a new father of a 3-week old baby boy named after him.
This young man, only 25 years old, suffered a tragic, premature death on Sunday, July 19, 2015. His body was discovered in a brook in Naugatuck, CT, by his mother, Wendy Pikora. The cause of death is to be determined by police. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.

Chris leaves behind his newborn baby son Christopher, his fiance Ashley, his mother Wendy, his father Mark, two sisters Kandy & Krystal, as well as 5 nieces, 1 nephew, and many other relatives and friends.
According to the GoFundMe, the family has no financial means for his funeral expenses. His infant son will never know his daddy. In addition to funds for funeral expenses, we are also appealing to the generous hearts out there to help support baby Christopher.

All funds raised will go first to pay for Chris’s funeral and cremation expenses, and any additional funds will help with the immediate needs and care of baby Christopher.
UPDATE: As of midnight $1,030 of $10,000 has been raised by 25 people in 23 hours. The administrator of the page posted the following message: “Thank you everyone for your generous support! Keep sharing this fundraiser ... Funerals are expensive. I am in regular contact with Chris’s mom, Wendy. She is a very close friend and she asked me to oversee this fundraising effort. I am humbled by the outpouring of generosity and heartfelt expressions of condolences.”
