Golf Outing to Honor James Jordan

The daylong celebration of Mr. Jordan's life will raise money for a memorial fund scholarship.

A daylong celebration of the life of former Board of Education member James Jordan will be held on May 9, 2015 at Hop Brook Golf Course in Naugatuck. The golf tournament will be followed by an awards dinner and fun-filled activities. The events will raise money for the Jim Jordan Memorial Fund which will award a scholarship to a local student. Mr. Jordan died in February at age 46 from complications of a brain tumor.

The fee for the golf tournament will be $140 per person. This includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, player gift, barbeque lunch, dinner, music by the band Redline (which will play from 6:00pm to 10:00pm) and family entertainment. Registration will begin at 10:30 in the morning, lunch is served at 11:00 am and golf will begin at noon. Golf contests include long drive, two closest to the pin holes, teams prizes and a putting contest.

Non-golfers may have dinner, play games and listen to music for only $30. The rain date for the event is June 6.
